  • Adult Prevention and Recovery Care (APARC)
  • APARC is a 10-bed facility that provides 24-hour treatment and support for people aged between 16 and 64. The facility is coordinated by Bendigo Health in partnership with MIND Australia and is available to young people in Bendigo and the Loddon Mallee Southern Campaspe region. APARC provides a short term ‘step up’ (from the community) or a ‘step down’ (from hospital) functions to ensure that effective treatment can continue.

  • Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

  • AOD Care & Recovery Co-ordination
  • AOD Counselling
  • The Alochol and Other Drugs (AOD) Services team aims to provide information and/or referral to those experiencing AOD problems or those affected by another person's AOD use. Free and confidential individual counselling for people experiencing issues related to their alcohol and other drugs use. Counselling may include an assessment related to use, goal setting, harm minimisation strategies, Relapse prevention strategies, referral to appropriate Cobaw services and Referral to services offered by other organisations. Eight initial sessions are offered - once a week for four weeks, once a fortnight for four weeks, and then once a month for two months. A review can be completed at this time if further sessions are required.

  • Autism Assessment
  • The ADAS clinic is a specialist, multi disciplinary service that provides clinical assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders. It runs fortnightly on a Wednesday at the Autism Centre at 8 Wallace Ave. Between two to three families are usually seen at the clinic each fortnight. After the client and parents have been seen on assessment day the multi-disciplinary team has a case discussion and considers all the information that has been gathered to make a decision about whether or not the client meets criteria for a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder. The familiy is given feedback on the results of the assessment and a written report.

  • Bendigo Health Youth Mental Health Service Youth Early Intervention Treatment (YEIT)
  • YEIT - The Youth Early Intervention Treatment is provide to young people who are exhibiting a moderate to severe mental health disorder eg depression, anxiety, eating disorders or personality disorders. These disorders must have had a recent onset (neither chronic, nor situational crisis or an Adjustment REaction Disorder). The client must be able to benefit from a two- twelve week brief psychological intervention. YEIT will take a clent centered approach toyoung people who have individuated from their family and are out of school or our of home (actually or psychologiacally). A non-urgent assessment (within two weeks) will be offered in the ansence of acuity or risk issues. This service is also delivered by the YMHS which covers the entire Loddon Mallee Southern Campaspe region.

The service focuses on the strengths of each child and their family to help build intervention strategies into the everyday routines of the family, to ensure funtional skills are learned across a range of settings.

  • The Eating Disorder Clinic provides an assessment service to young people with a variety of eating concerns and living in the Bendigo Health CAMHS catchment area. The assessment clinic compriseof a young person and family members meeting a range of health workers for an assessment and treatment plan in one day. The clinic works closely with health service providers in the young person's community, and aims to support parents and families.     Some of the areas that people need help in could be: managing the effects of mental ill-health, improving physical health, finding and/or keeping a job, or returning to education, building new friendships, and joining local activities, developing living skills such as cooking or managing money.

    This can also include Group support services that provide opportunities for involvement activities in the general community. Groups are a place where clients can meet other people, develop friendships, and give and receive peer support and learn new skills. The type and extent of services offered to an individual varies, depending on what they identify as their priorities and what else is available in the local community.

  • At St Luke's our preschool field officers work closely with 'early childhood' staff in preschools and kindergartens and families to support children who attend preschool and have 'additional needs'. Our experienced preschool field officers take time to observe and assess the children in a preschool setting, identifying a child's strengths and needs. They also assist' 'early childhood' staff tp plan and develop positive learning experiences for each child, while offering support and information to the families. The St Lukes Preschool Field Work program is based in three main sites, at St Lukes offices in Echuca, Bendigo and Kyneton, the service is offered to all preschools in the Loddon Campaspe region.

  • The Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) program provides support, education and assistance to a broad range of primary health care providers including general practioners and community health workers across the Loddon-Campaspe, Southern Mallee region. The program aims to support such health care providers to assess and provide the best possible interventions for persons in their communities experiencing what are clinically deemed to be non -urgent, low risk mental health related problems also known as high prevalence mental health disorders. The consultation, further assessment and review provided by PMHT clinicians may result in advice to the referring practitioner regarding an individual's diagnosos or management and may include time limited focussed psychological therapy by a PMHT clinician or assistance with further referral options.

  • Eating Disorders Service (EDS) is part of the Primary Mental Health Team. Referral criteria includes patient must be over 18 (nder 18 go to CAMHS) and have symptoms disordered eating or a diagnosos of Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa or an Unspecified Eating Disorder. This is a non-urgent assessment (within two weeks) will be offered inthe absence of acuity or risk issues. The service hub is located in Bendigo and the PMHT clinician operated out of Kyneton Community Mental Health Service based at the Kyneton Hospital site. The client of the service is the primary care provider and the person receiving treatment is "their patient".

This is an intimate, convenient and welcoming location in Bendigo. VOTES also offers a range of special interest programs.   • Transition to Employment
  • Transition to Employment is a 12 month program that teaches young people the skill necessary to flourish in the workplace. The course assists participants to identify their strengths and interests, using this knowledge to work with the participant to plan a career path. The program has a hands on approach, teaching social skills, generic work skills, workplace culture and technical skills as well as boosting confidence to give students a head start in employment. The aim of the program is to assist young people into employment or continuing with further study.

  • Woodend Neighbourhood House
  • Formed in response to the Ash Wednesday bushfires in 1983, the Woodend Neighbourhood House started its life as a releif and recovery centre. The house runs a range of classes, events and activities for all ages and has a strong volunteer input. It also provides a range of services and room hire.

  • Woodend Playgroup
  • Woodend Playgroup is all about fun and friendship. Offers a safe and friendly environment for children aged 0-4 to interact with kids of their age. Your child could make friends they'll know for years. Fully equipped to cater to children's imagination and energy levels including craft activities, books, games, dress-ups and toys

  • Youth Clinic
  • The Youth Clinic provides mental, sexual & general physical health services to clients in a confidential and youth specific setting. All Health concerns can be discussed.

  • Youth Development Ambassador Program
  • 12 Month Youth Leadership Program that invites young people 16-18 years of age to develop a greater understanding and practice fundamental leadership skills via a diverse range of settings an experiences. 1/ Conduits to the broader youth population in the Macedon Ranges. 2/ REpresenting young people's views and experiences to the Macedon Ranges Shire Council. 3/ Being involved in the development of a Macedon Ranges Shire Council Youth Charter. 4/ Hosting a Youth Summit. 5/ Supporting the delivery of the very celebrated Macedon Ranges Youth Awards.

  • Youth Early Psychosis Service (YEPS)
  • YEPS - The Youth Early Psychosis Stream (YEPS) aims to provide a service to young people aged between 16 and 25 who are either at risk of/or are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. The service focus is to provide earlier and more intensive treatment, minimising disability associated with psychosis, including the impact of distress and trauma on both the young person and their family. This service is delivered by the YMHS community team which provides coverage to the entire Loddon Southern Mallee Campaspe region.

  • Youth Engage Program (YEP)
  • YEP offers a safe and inclusive environment for secondary school aged young people to participate in fantastic programs and activities (for a gold coin donation) such as:

    • Movie nights
    • Game nights
    • Activity nights such as parkour, dance, DJ-ing, photography, cooking and much more. 

    Support is available if you just want to have a chat and food is provided for free! Don’t worry about fitting in because we have lots of different young people from all sorts of backgrounds and we like everyone to feel welcome and included. YEP also offers Young people aged 11-16 years diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) now have the opportunity to participate in a Youth Space program provided by Macedon Ranges Shire Council in partnership with Cobaw Community Health. The program runs every Thursday 4-6pm at the Woodend Neighbourhood house, gold coin donation.

     

    We also run special events and school holiday programs.

  • Youth Outreach Program
  • The Youth Outreach Program is a free service for young people (15-25) in the Macedon Ranges Shire. The program provides confidential counselling, support and referral for young people who are using alcohol or other drugs. Yong people whoa re affected by someone else's use of alcohol or other drugs may also use this service to receive supports, advice and information.

  • Youth Prevention and Recovery Care
  • YPARC - YPARC is a state of the art 10 bed facility that provides 24 hour treatment and support for young people aged between 16 and 24. The facility is coordinated by Bendigo Health in partnership with MIND Australia and is a significant boost to metnal health services available to young people in Bendigo and the Loddon Mallee Southern Campapspe regions. YPARC provides a short term 'step up' (from the communtiy) or a 'step down' (from hospital) function to ensure that effective treatment can continue. This is a voluntary residential program and the young person needs to be willing to be admitted to YPARC and engage in psycho-social rehabilitation which is imbedded into the program.

  • Youth Support & Advocacy Service (YSAS)
  • YSAS (Youth Support & Advocacy Service) is an alcohol and drug treatment service which has an industry reputation for working with clients that are marginalised and vulnerable. YSAS has always worked with clients through a biopyschosocial approach recognising the importance of addressing co-occurring mental hearh and other issues that impact the wellbeing of young people.
